Past Music Directors
Elise Letourneau Elise Letourneau was Music Director of Big Soul Project from February 2007 until May 2008, and created custom arrangements of their material. Her diverse skills as a vocalist, musician, composer, arranger, recording artist, and teacher challenged Big Soul Project to explore new avenues of expression. Elise is the founding director of Capital Vox, the head of the voice department at Alcorn Music Studios, and can be heard at venues throughout Ottawa. eliseletourneau.com
Kim Kaskiw Kim Kaskiw was Music Director of Big Soul Project from June to November 2006. She brought lots of experience as a voice instructor and professional singer. Kim can be seen and heard at venues around Ottawa, including the Ottawa International Jazz Festival. KimKaskiw.com
Michael MacDonald, (2001-2006) Big Soul Project wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for the direction and vision of Michael MacDonald. Mike contributed greatly to the choir as piano player, arranger and music director, and pushed us all to new heights. Mike has been accepted into the PhD program at the University of Alberta School of Music to study in The Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology in Edmonton.
