Update from BSP...

During the COVID19 pandemic Big Soul Project continues to meet for practice every Monday evening only now, like so many other choirs, we practice virtually. We have found ways to make our Zoom practices fun and engaging! See us singing One Voice, our first recording from the spring of 2020.

BSP continues to welcome new names on the waiting list during this time. Join the Choir

We would normally be gearing up for and eagerly anticipating the annual holiday concert at Dominion Chalmers which was scheduled for December 12th. Instead we are preparing to unveil a Holiday Celebration video presentation which will be revealed here on December 12th and available to view at your leisure from that day forward. We will be accepting donations to a local charity for this event.

On a beautiful Sunday evening in July, we opened our hearts and voices at our 4th annual community concert at Lansdowne Park. We wowed a crowd of 1000+, who boogied and clapped to our uplifting songs. Leading the way was our very own Deep Groove Band and soloists, with musical direction by our ever-spirited Roxanne Goodman. Members of the audience even joined the choir for a song. Truly, a concert of many with one beat and one heart in celebration of life! A big thanks to our MC, the eloquent Sarah Onyango of CHUO 89.1, and to the City of Ottawa for sponsoring the Lansdowne Summer Arts Series.

You can hear more of us on our EP (extended play) recording at

Our next performance will be a benefit concert for Arise and Shine Uganda, an incredible charity providing homes for Ugandan orphans and supporting girls and women from cradle to adulthood. It’s on Saturday evening, September 29th. Stay tuned!
